Beginning with an interest in photography
as a teenager, I've been involved with communication arts my entire
adult life. A study of psychology and many years of experience in
various aspects of business management, has given me solid insights
into creating effective marketing, branding, and public relations
strategies. These skills, combined with a strong entrepreneurial
spirit, mean that I know how to get things done for small business.
Here

design & production support for magazines, advertising, collateral

-- Nelson Graphic Design (1998-2000) Web Designer/Developer
Produced many effective websites in ad agency environment for local
and national clients including Crestliner Boats, Rave Sports and
Falls Plows. Also completed a Flash presentation website and a Director
CD presentation for the agency.
-- OmniQuest Information Arts, Inc. (1997 - 1998) President
Added web development and consulting to experiences as President
and designer of graphic arts studio. Clients included ad agencies,
printers, and retailers for a variety of web, print, public relations,
interface design and consulting projects.

Quality Graphics (1991-1997) Digital PrePress Department Manager
Developed, deployed and operated digital prepress department for
color prepress house. Helped many local and national publishers,
ad agencies and printers make the transition to digital prepress
including InFisherman Magazine, eight magazines published by Christianity
Today, Range Printing, Universal Printing, Russell & Herder
Advertising, Property Source Magazine, and many more.

Began interest in new digital prepress and publishing technology
while getting updated in business accounting, finance, human relations,
and marketing techniques. Ran a digital graphic design studio from
home office.
-- Echo Publishing (1984 - 1989) Photo Journalist and Print
Production Specialist
Developed and prepared special interest articles for newspaper.
Maintained and operated small press job shop. Worked closely with
publisher who had been in newspaper business for over 50 years -
learned many details about public relations, customer service and
marketing for small business.
-- Sears (1977 - 1983) Retail Inventory Management
I managed an office of 45 clerical workers, maintaining the retail
inventory management system for 36 Sears stores in the upper Midwest.
